Pooled Resources – Networked Skills

SystemsX.ch is a "simple partnership" in which the participating institutions have equal rights, duties and fees.

At present the partnership comprises the ETH Zurich, the EPF Lausanne, the Universities of Basel, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel and Zurich, the Università della Svizzera italiana, the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research, the Paul Scherrer Institute, the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics, the IBM Zurich Research Laboratory, and the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

Effective quality control

The initiative is structured by three committees. Decision-making power is in the hands of the Scientific Executive Board. As a group of experts they are best armed to take the necessary decisions. The Board of Directors has supervisory role and ensures an adequate strategic planning to allow SystemsX.ch to evolve accordingly. The Scientific Advisory Board shall advise the Board of Directors and the Scientific Executive Board on general strategic and operational issues.

A rigorous scientific quality assessment and the monitoring of projects, financial allocations, and the initiative as a whole, is entrusted to the independent Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
