8th Call for Proposals

The focus of the 8th call is on:

1. Research, Technology and Development (RTD) Projects (duration 4 years):
a) New RTD Projects: For new RTD Projects priority will be given to consortia of     moderate size (typically 3 to 8 research groups) that apply complementary    approaches on well-defined biological, clinical or theoretical questions.
b) Ongoing RTDs: RTDs that were approved in 2009 are invited to submit a proposal to continue operation for an additional four-year period.

The present call will be the last call for RTD Projects within SystemsX.ch.

2. Transfer Projects (duration 2 years with the possibility of an additional year’s extension): With this project type SystemsX.ch wants to encourage partnerships between at least one each of an academic and a private research group, in order to promote cooperation between universities and private industry, SMEs or spin-offs.

Submission deadline for the proposals of this 8th call is June 30, 2013. For both project types, please apply via mySNF: Application forms will be available on www.mysnf.ch after mid-February 2013.

The SNSF review panel will convene on September 23-24, 2013. Main applicants for a RTD Project may be invited to present their proposal and discuss it with the SNSF panel.
